How to use Find my iPhone app
For those who didn’t lose their phone yet and want to avoid this from happening this article should be of great help.
The iPhones are known for their ability to store a lot of data, and applications as well as well as being targeted by the thieves. Most of us will agree that the best apps out there are actually helpful, and if you knew about one which will help you to always find your device, wouldn’t like to have it, especially if you knew it actually works? And if you already have it and you don’t know how to use it, then it’s not good either.
First of all, you need to install the application on your Apple device, and you can easily find it in the iTunes App Store. Then, if you want to try the application out, place it somewhere in the house and go on your computer, and open the icloud.com, in the internet browser of choice. You’ll have to log into the account you made when you set up the Find my iPhone app – and it can be your Apple ID or your iTunes ID and password.
As soon as you logged in, the search will begin and the progress is being mentioned on the screen – how fast is that?
When the search is done, there will be a map appearing showing you the last known location of the handset if it is turned off, but the result will update as soon as it gets turned on and the map will show the current location of the device. It doesn’t really matter if the person having your device currently – if that’s the case – is on the move, because you have the possibility of refreshing the map. You should see a blue dot on a map, indicating the location of your Apple device.
Should you press the blue dot, you will see various options, and the first one is to send a message to it, or to command it to make some sort of noise. This option is perfect if you misplaced your iPhone in doors. Another option is to “lock” it, in case you forgot it at a friend’s house, or in the office, or in any other place where you can easily recover it from. If the device is stolen, this option will prevent the thief from using it, because you’d be remotely setting up a PIN code, and unless the thief is guessing it, they will no longer be able to use the handset.
If you think you can’t recover the device, you can choose to erase all the data on it, with the “wipe” option. Even if the new user managed to take a look at some of the stuff stored, and even use some of it, this will no longer be possible.
This application can be used both online, as we described here, or as an application installed on a different Apple device. This app will work with any mobile Apple device, as long as the version of the iOS is compatible with it.This article is brought by Logo Quiz Answers and Logo Quiz.
